I love the panorama at Wilkerson Pass overlooking the Collegiate Range any time of year.  But at dusk in the fall - spectacular!

This view in the San Juans is one of my favorites, especially as the ruddy light of the setting sun highlights the distant mountain peaks.  I'd love to spend some time living in that cabin!

I still remember the first time I saw Wilkerson Pass.  It isn't really high as far as Colorado passes go, but it sure is spectacular: suddenly one is looking over the huge South Park valley to the grand Collegiate Peaks of the Sawatch Range...a spectacular view any time of year!

Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods are always beautiful, but when you add a full supermoon and the red glow of the rising sun it becomes magical. I love the way the cliffs glow in the first light!

On a trip through Arizona with my wife last December, we spent some time at Canyon de Chelly.  It's an amazing spot: deep, narrow canyons, Spider Rock pictured here, and of course the 700+ year old ruins built by the Ancient Puebloans.  If only our houses would last so long! I was drawn to this early-morning fine art landscape photography print by the delicate light on the cliff walls, the contrasting warm highlights and cool shadows, and the sense of depth created by the foreground and the layers within the canyon.  It was a magical moment!  

A friend and I hiked the Great Sand Dunes National Park at the end of March. It was an amazing time: the dunes were partially covered with snow, creating dramatic views of the dunes such as this one. It was also _very_ windy, as you can tell from the sand and snow blowing off the crests of the dunes. The contrast between the snow and dark sand, the graceful curves of the dunes, the wind patterns in the sand, and the shadows cast by the setting sun all added up to a magical evening!

I love the flowers growing amid the granite rocks, the glow of first light on the distant mountains, and sunlight gracing the tips of the foreground trees.  It was a magical sunrise off Wolf Creek Pass.

I love dusk: the soft light and bands of color on the horizon are beautiful.  Add the silhouette of a shapely tree and backlit grass tufts catching the light, and the results are spectacular!

The early hints of a colorful dawn sky moved my morning photography shoot to the Garden of the Gods. I had a very busy few minutes taking advantage of the amazing light. In this landscape image, I especially love how the sandstone cliffs appear to glow, reflecting the red light of the sun as it breaks the horizon.

Fall aspen in the golden light of sunset are always beautiful.  But when it includes with the gentle curves of stacked mountains and a contrasting rich blue sky, the result is spectacular!

This is another image from my amazing sunset hike along the Slate river near Crested Butte, Colorado.  I was captured by the composition and colors in this mountain scene: the blues and greens of the mountains and trees; the way the clouds are tinted pale lavender, the light on the river and foreground vegetation, and the winding river leading you into the scene.  All in all, a beautiful and peaceful fine art landscape photography print!

When I saw the golden glow of sunlight on the last of the morning mist, I knew this would be a beautiful landscape photography print.  The image is only enhanced by the pink, yellow, and white flowers nestled in the lush spring grass at Beaver Dam State Park Illinois.

As spring approaches, the lengthening days can start to melt streams frozen by the wrath of winter. I love the delicate mists that can rise from these creeks in the early morning, especially when they catch the light of early dawn.

I love the layers of hills and mountains that can be seen in Colorado.  The scenery goes on seemingly forever ....

I love the way the last light of the setting sun lights up the granite rocks, golden aspen, pines, and the distant peaks.

It took several tries for the flowers and sky to come together to make this image.  In the end, I was very happy in the way the sunset-colored clouds complement the flowers!

At pink of dusk, the mountains and trees are reflected in the still waters of Lilly Lake. 

The La Sal Mountains peek through and around Delicate Arch, all lit by the glow of the setting sun.

I love the way the mountains and clouds were perfectly reflected in beautiful Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.
