Capitol Reef National Park is truly beautiful: the red (and white) cliffs, canyons and spires, all weathered into intricate shapes.?ÿ It's hard to settle on what to photograph!?ÿ The photos for this panoramic landscape photography print was an easy decision: the setting sun enhances the colors and textures of the red-rock cliffs.

One of my favorite places in Illinois is Garden of the Gods at the southern tip.?ÿ It has dramatic sandstone cliffs overlooking the gently rolling wooded hills of the area.?ÿ I came out for sunset on this particular evening to make this landscape photography image the glow of the?ÿpastel?ÿsky on the sandstone cliffs.?ÿ ?ÿ

I love the way the last ruddy light of the setting sun highlights the dune peaks and emphasizes the rugged mountains behind.  The sunset colors on the clouds just add to the majesty of the moment at Great Sand Dunes National Park.

A winter's dawn at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.  I love the sky colors when morning light first approaches; add the reflections of the snowy mountains and it makes for a perfect peaceful morning!

The red glow from the horizon highlights rocky outcrops in front of the purples of the early dawn: what's not to love?  The colors of nature at their finest!

A winter's Sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park, with the moon glowing above. I love the rich yellows and oranges of the valley contrasting with the bright blue sky over the snowy mountains.  A perfect peaceful morning!

The Crags is one of my favorite local hikes: it offers spectacular views both near and far.  Here the distant Collegiate Range, bathed in the glow of sunrise, peaks through intervening hills  rising above a sea of fog.

I love the intense colors in the sky in late dusk, and how they color the frozen Dream Lake basin with a soft magenta glow at Rocky Mountain National Park. 

Grasses by the side of the lake, patiently waiting though the harsh winter for the warmth of Spring.
